What is PEMF therapy?
PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy. It uses low-level electromagnetic pulses tuned to the same frequencies your body's cells already run on, delivered through a mat you lie on for 20 minutes. How is Valo Charge different from a heating pad?
A heating pad warms the surface of your skin. How long should each session be?
20 minutes is the standard session length and produces the strongest results. For chronic pain or post-injury recovery, you can run 30 to 45 minutes. There's no maximum daily limit, but most users find 20 to 30 minutes once or twice daily is the sweet spot.
How often should I use it?
Daily use produces the strongest results. The benefits are cumulative, meaning your body adapts and responds more deeply with consistent use. Most users run a 20-minute session in the evening as a wind-down, with optional morning sessions for energy.
What's the best time of day to use it?
For sleep and recovery, use it 30 to 60 minutes before bed. For energy and focus, use it within an hour of waking. For nervous system reset, anytime works. Avoid Focus mode (23 Hz) within 4 hours of bedtime.
Can I fall asleep on it?
Yes. The mat times out automatically. Many users start a session in bed using Sleep mode and fall asleep before it ends. The auto-shutoff makes this completely safe.
Do I need to take my clothes off?
No. Valo Charge works through clothing, blankets, and sheets. Lighter clothing helps maximize infrared heat penetration but isn't required.

Are there any side effects?

Can I use it if I have a pacemaker or implant?
